On Friday, April 12 will begin the 16th Gdańsk Tourism Fair. This year, the fair guests will find interesting offers to go to Croatia, Egypt, Indonesia, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Scandinavia, Hungary and Italy.

A special attraction of the event will be this year’s GTT Fair Partners- Russian cities, for the first time so many present at the fair, thanks to the cooperation of Gdańsk and its partner contacts. To promote ‘Little Border Development’, Kaliningrad will participate in the fair. Great Novgorod will represent Hanseatic cities. The invitation also adopted St. Petersburg – a partner city of Gdańsk. Russian cuisine, ballads and romances, as well as shows performed by the folk band Kudesa from Great Novgorod will certainly encourage you to visit these stands.

Opening the EUROLOT direct flights from Gdańsk to Zadar, Split, Rijeka and Dubrovnik resulted in a significant number of regions of Croatia.

A CULTURE ZONE will be the surprise of the fair. In the form of artistic activities will present among others: Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre, National Solidarity Centre and the Centre of Hewelianum. Again, the fair will be accompanied by Sport and Recreation Saloons: ACTIVITY EXPO and EXPO KAYAK

In contrary to the saying that:”other people do not appreciate what is theirs”, a high position in the fair will have Pomeranian Province and its attractions, including Anger Castle, trading house, or National Forests offer and Pomeranian tourism. Sopot is also a partner of GTT. Tourist offer of Pomerania will be the subject of special workshop and study tour involving thirty tour operators from Scandinavia – inbound tour operators to Pomerania, who came at the invitation of the Pomeranian Regional Tourist Organization.

The purpose of Sport Saloon and Recreation Activity Expo 2013, is to promote active recreation and healthy lifestyles, as well as the promotion of sporting events held in the Tri-City (European Championship in Men’s Volleyball 2013, World Indoor Championships in Athletics 2014). The program included many attractions to the public – competitions and events with well-known athletes of Lechia Gdańsk, Trefla Sopot and Asseco Prokom Gdynia, meetings with athletes such as Mateusz Kusznierewicz, Leszek Blanik and Natalia Partyka. The Kayak Expo Exhibition will include among others demonstrations in the pool, canoe clubs presentations, as well as trainings.

The Gdansk Tourism Fair 2013 promotional booth EUROB Association has also prepared the “European Route of Brick Gothic EUROB”.

Gdańsk was a partner in the project of the European Route of Brick Gothic-EUROB. The project has created a specific product presenting cultural tourism and historical heritage of Brick Gothic buildings in Europe. It includes the countries: Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Poland and Sweden. After completing the project in September 2007, it was decided to create the Association of the European Route of Brick Gothic EUROB.

The purpose of the Association is EUROB is to take various initiatives for: tourism, culture, education and the protection as well as revitalization of historic monuments. The Association also makes an effort to include a trail of objects from all over Europe, which is not yet on the trail.

April 12 – 13, 2013 (Friday – Saturday) 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.

April 14, 2013 (Sunday) 10.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

 

Gdansk Tourism Fair is an event well-established for many years, placing in the top tourist fairs in Poland. The fair is held at the beginning of the tourist season and are primarily dedicated to individual customers. The event is an exchange holiday and weekend offers, creating a unique opportunity to find in one place and time what is necessary to plan a holiday in the country or abroad.
