Comparing to the results published last year, Poland moved up 10 places (Poland was ranked 48th in the 2013 report, bearing in mind changes in the methodology)

Poland’s continued progress this year was made due to two major changes introduced last year – in terms of setting up a business and dealing with construction permits.

Poland was ranked 14th in the list of the fastest – improving countries since 2005, when the Doing Business surveys were established. The country is also highly rated in terms of ease of obtaining credit (third place).

The World Bank’s Doing Business report ranks 189 global economies on the ease of operating a company. Countries are ranked on the basis of 10 factors defining the doing business index.
