We have chosen the EXPO Hall because it proved to be a good place in the first four editions of FWP. It is fully compatible with our needs – explains Jacek Kłak, FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland Project Manager.

On the runway

The FWP Programme Board met on 25 February and selected 10 most interesting autumn/winter 2016/2017 collections. The Designer Avenue Runway will be a witness to the presentations by Marta Kuszyńska, Modelove, Malgrau and Klaudia Markiewicz. Designers qualified to the Studio Project include Khategat and Zwyrd, and the Off Out Of Schedule Project – Anna Pawluk (AP), Ewa Leśniewska, Szczesny and Girl Little Boy. – Presentations by those designers who have been qualified by the Programme Board are fully sponsored by the organisers. Thanks to the financial support from the city of Łódź we can already boast about more than 560 realisations of this kind – informs Jacek Kłak.

FWPXII-EVA MINGEOf course, Fashion Week Poland is also a place where collections by renowned Polish designers are presented. The special guest of the spring edition will be Eva Minge. She has been running a dynamically growing Eva Minge Fashion House for over 20 years, persistently building a modern brand image. She holds an international Next Couture Title and she is considered a style icon that sets new trends. Her collections are presented around the world. In 2003 she was the first Pole to be invited to the fashion show in the Spanish Steps in Rome during a prestigious Donna sotto le Stelle event. Eva Minge is also the winner of the Oskar Mody Award, Gold Medal at the international fairs in Moscow and Kiev as well as the Złoty Wieszak Award. Her collections were presented during Rome Fashion Week Alta Roma as well as fashion shows and fashion weeks in Milan, Kiev, Paris, Montreal, Moscow, Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna and Dubai. Since 2008 Eva Minge has been a regular guest at Paris Haute Couture.

International cooperation

In February this year FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland signed another cooperation agreement. A new partner of the event is Athens Xclusive Designers Week. Thanks to this cooperation Natalia Jaroszewska will present her collection in Athens in March. Also in March, Waleria Tokarzewska-Karaszewicz, the winner of the SEAT and FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland competition, will present her collection at the Lviv Fashion Week. Designs by Piotr Drzał will be demonstrated to the visitors at the Lisboa Fashion Week and Serbia Fashion Week.

The effect of the FWP’s international cooperation is promoting Polish designers abroad as well as foreign designers’ presentations at the Polish event. In April Łódź will host designers connected with Athens Xclusive Designers Week, Lisboa Fashion Week Lviv Fashion Week and Serbia Fashion Week.

Throughout the whole event in the Showroom zone dozens of designers will be presenting their unique collections of clothes, jewellery and accessories. The Showroom is also a place where signature designs can be bought.
