Over a hundred guests gathered on 26th April 2014 in the Polish Embassy in London and honored the ceremony with their presence. In his speech, Minister Counsellor Dariusz Łaska paid tribute to Polish Research Centre for its work. During the ceremony their speeches gave also: prof. Bogdan Szlachta, Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies (speaking also on behalf of prof. Wojciech Nowak, Rector of Jagiellonian University), prof. H. Taborska, Rector of Polish University Abroad, prof. W. Miodunka, and Prof. A. Rzegocki.

Their diplomas received the graduates of the first edition of studies ‘Teaching Polish as a Second Language with Elements of Polish Culture’, which are coordinated by prof. W. Miodunka, the graduates of the third edition of postgraduate studies ‘Polish-British Strategic Partnership in the EU and NATO’, coordinated by prof. Arkady Rzegocki, as well as the participants of doctoral seminar, Living Workroom of Polish Culture, and journalism workshops.

The ceremony ended with the concert of classical music. Thirteen-year-old Klara Falkowska (violin, trumpet), together with her father Damian Falkowski (violin) and  Paul Choon Kiat Wee (piano) gave a memorable performance of their instrumental skills playing songs from Wieniawski’s and Chopin’s repertoire.
