Young Polish Professionals – educated, ambitious people who work and make career abroad within their country of residence without forgetting about their roots. Entrepreneurs, businessmen, employees of prestigious companies, representatives of liberal professions… people who succeed and for whom Poland and its image abroad are important. We would like to invite all those who are active in the organizations of young Polish professionals and those who are engaged in the construction of such environments to the Training for Polish Young Professional Organizations. If you are interested in the development of your organization, the exchange of best practices and the creation of international networks of cooperation, send us your application by the 15th of September 2013!

Training is organized by the School for Leaders Association and the Young Polish Canadian Professionals Association (YPCPA).  This event forms part of the 5th edition of the School for Leaders of Polish Community Abroad, which is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and under the honourable patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski.

Training will be held in Warsaw, Poland between the 25th and the 29th of November 2013. During the training program participants will take part in workshops, lectures and discussion sessions, as well as in meetings with representatives of key institutions and business organizations that cooperate with Polish communities abroad. The aim of this project is to discuss the models of functioning of organizations that gather young Polish professionals and to establish international cooperation between such organizations. Participants of 5 to 10 different organizations from around the world will be invited to participate in this training (maximum two members from each organization).

 

If you want to:

  • Reinforce your leadership competences
  • Establish contacts with young professionals, Polish Community leaders from other countries and representatives of Polish organizations and institutions that cooperate with Polish Community abroad
  • Share your experiences in this area of activity and make use of know-hows elaborated by YPCPA and other organizations that take part in the training
  • Participate in the development of an international network of young Polish professionals

AND:

  • You are 20 to 40 years old
  • You permanently live abroad
  • You are engaged in activities of Polish professionals in the place of your residence
  • You know the Polish language to the extent that enables you to participate in an active manner during activities ran in this language
  • You have been involved socially or politically in your community for at least 2 years
  • You are a leader in your environment

We invite you to participate in the Training for Young Professionals of Polish Community Organizations that will take place as part of the 5th edition of the School for Leaders of Polish Community Abroad.

The School for Leaders Association has hosted “School for Leaders of Polish Communities Abroad” since 2009. During this time over 300 Polish Community activists from 30 countries around the world participated in training programs dedicated to leadership development, projects for their Polish Community and the creation of a positive image of Poland abroad. The goal of these programs is to develop leadership competences of participants and to support them in being active for their Polish and local communities.  Summaries from previous editions of this project are available in 4 languages on our website.

After successfully completing the initial course, participants are invited back to participate in an annual Program for Alumni of the School for Leaders of Polish Communities Abroad, which further facilitates access to more advanced tools and enables them to establish contacts and cooperation with a wider network of leaders from Poland and all around the world.  Alumni also have an opportunity to participate in other dedicated components of subsequent editions of the School for Leaders of Polish Community Abroad.

Organizers of this program cover costs of participation in the School, including lodge, board, training materials, and in justified cases they reimburse part of the travel costs.
