The recently released 2015 calendar presents profiles of Polish women whose social and professional activity in recent years is connected with France.

Many of them are actively involved in the local Polish community. Among them are founders, creators and initiators as well as winners of competitions, prizes and awards; women who have not given up their dreams, who make them come true and being an inspiration to people around them.

New to this edition is the participation of children – young Polish girls in France. They hosted last December’s calendar page. They talk also about their small and big dreams. They are the daughters of proud Polish mothers, whose future is going to be connected with France and Poland.

Les Polonaises once again invited Anna Marchlewska, a Polish photographer who graduated from the Paris Academy of Fine Arts and lives and works in Paris, to help with the project. Her work on the first edition of the calendar aroused great interest and appreciation. The photo session took place in an unusual place: a medieval French castle in Toulouse, built in the times of the Crusades, in the town of Saint-Félix-Lauragais.

This year’s calendar includes a specially-recorded CD by Chris Schittulli, a French musician who lived between Warsaw and Lyon. The album, entitled “Pour Elle / For Her”, consists of seven covers and two Polish pop music hits in French.

The project “The Calendar of Polish women in France” is coordinated by Aldona Kaluza, Founder of Les Polonaises, a graduate of the School for Leaders programme.

The project could be completed only with the support of the Consulate General in Lyon and the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was also supported by the School for Leaders Foundation and the Foundation Teraz Polska.

Everyone interested in the calendar with CD can buy it for €10 through the website of the Les Polonaises or by sending an order through email to lespolonaises@gmail.com.
