The finalists for each category – business, science and technology, culture, the young successful Pole and Honorary Polonus – have been  selected by the Chapter, which consists of representatives of the Polish community and led by Barbara Borys-Damięcka – Senator of the Republic of Poland.

Business – Kris Florek

Science and technology – Mirosław Lech Kamiński

Culture – Małgorzata Smółka

The Young Successful Pole – Sylwia Kuć

Honorary Polonus – Eric van Tilbeurgh.

Simultaneously, Internet users were to vote online,deciding which of the candidates will receive the audience’s award. This year the award went to Kris Florek.

The third edition of Pole of the Year 2014 in the Netherlands gathered in Studio 21 in Hilversum over 700 guests thus providing an excellent opportunity to show the achievements of living and working here Poles. The evening delivered a hilarious spectacle performed by Nederlands Showballet. Their team members – singers, musicians, acrobats dance group have presented to the audience in Studio 21 a show at the highest possible level. During the event two specials guests have perfomed as well – Natalia Szroeder and Mr. Poland. There were also works of Frederic Chopin performed by Peter Jasiurkowskiego and Gabriela Clout.

The dishes they were prepared by one of the Dutch cooks Herman den Blijker.

Congratulations to the winners and the organisers. Much apreciation to Otto Work Force and its Director Frank van Gool for a great preparation of of The Award Ceremony this year.
