On the occasion of this year’s 25th anniversary of the gaining of freedom by Poland,  “Brief” magazine honoured Polish brands in three categories: company brand; people as “Polska” brand, and places best associated with Poland.

The awards ceremony was preceded by a debate on building of the “Polska” brand. According to participants in the discussion, the perception of the country consists of many factors. First of all, it is based on brands of Polish companies that are successful in the world. This image is also shaped by successful people, especially athletes and artists. Exciting events and tourist attractions, as it was claimed by the panellists, also impacts the image of the country.

According to PAIiIZ deputy president Monika Piątkowska, one of the most important aims of building the positive image of Poland is attracting foreign investments to the country. It also impacts on the increase of export of Polish goods.  “During the past years, we have made an impressive progress in the brand communication of our country. What makes us happy and proud is the increasing number of Polish products abroad. There is no better ambassadors for our country than Polish companies, which very dynamically enter foreign markets”, argued Mrs Piątkowska. Currently, products “Made in Poland” are  present all over the world. However, only few of them are sold as Polish brands. We need more economic patriotism as well as building simple connotations between our country, a specific group of products made in Poland and their high quality”, she added.

During the Award ceremony, PAIiIZ deputy president Monika Piątkowska honoured one of the winners – the PESA company that was represented by president of the Board of PESA, Tomasz Zaboklicki. Among other awarded brands were: 4F, Asseco Poland, Atlas, CD PROJECT, DICE, Dr Irena Eris, Fakro, WSE, Vortex Inglot Cosmetics, KGHM, Lotos, LOTTO, Oknoplast, PESA, PKO, Platige Image, LOT Polish Airlines, PZU, Reserved, Solaris, Verva, Wyborowa, X-TB, and Żubrówka.
