Representatives of Polish food companies from Eastern Poland took part in Summer Fancy Food Show in New York from June, 30 to July, 2 and presented their products on a 100-meter Polish stand.
Poland – Thailand Business Forum took place on 4th July in Warsaw. The official opening of the forum was attended by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński. The event was organised by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) in cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy in Poland.
Poland has become the world’s largest raspberry producer. In 2012, the total volume of raspberries produced in Poland reached 127,000 metric tons. About 90 percent of Poland’s raspberry production is exported.
Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency is organizing economic missions in Turkey connected with participation in trade fairs. There is a possibility of funding the participation.
The 5th European Economic Congress (EEC) has ended – three days of debates, over 6000 participants, 100 discussion sessions and many important conclusions. During the three days of the Congress, filled with almost a hundred thematic sessions and numerous accompanying events, discussions focused on subjects that are crucial to the economy of Poland, Europe and the world.
According to the UNCTAD report, Poland will be in the next two years, 4th in Europe, and 14th the world’s most attractive economy.
The president of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski and President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan took part in the Poland-Armenia Economic Forum co-organised by PAIiIZ. They encouraged businessmen from both countries to develop closer mutual business contacts.
