An exhibition titled “For Example. The New Polish Home” can be watched as part of Prague’s Architecture Week, one of the most important international festivals dedicated to architecture and urbanism in Europe. The Polish Institute in Prague is the event’s partner.
Classy, modern and intriguing – by these words designers describe Polish design at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the world’s leading design event. The Milan fair is open until April 13th. The local Consulate General of the Republic of Poland is providing financial support for Polish participants.
There was a time… not that long ago… when elitist aesthetic concepts were the point of reference for design. It flirted with them, going against them or joining their ranks, not paying much attention to the matters of mere mortals and ignoring the developing challenges of contemporary life. This time, however, is over.
To be successful in promoting our contemporary architecture abroad we would first need to highlight what is being created now.
