Polish film festival was held at FACT cinema in Liverpool between 2nd and 4th of June. Thanks to the cooperation of Merseyside Polonia and Polish Cultural Institute in London, local residents had an opportunity to take a journey to the world of Polish movies for two special evenings. Polish Film Festival Kinoteka on Tour has been part of Merseyside Polonia’s biggest project to date– Liverpool Polish Midsummer Festival – promoting contemporary Polish culture to Liverpool audience.

Samizdat, alternative rock scene, Andrzej Wajda’s film trilogy, Leszek Możdżer’s music, Jarocin festival, and “Warsaw-the City of Freedom” are the main subjects of the 12th “Corso Polonia”, a festival of Polish culture, which opened in Rome on 26 May.

Liverpool Polish Midsummer Festival invites Liverpool audiences into a journey through Polish folk towards the best of contemporary Polish art and culture. The next few summer months will turn Liverpool into a city of Polish dance, music, theatre, literature and arts and crafts. Inspired by rich Midsummer traditions and Slavic beliefs the festival will offer you unforgettable summer with Merseyside Polonia.

The Polish Institute in Budapest, the oldest foreign cultural institute in Hungary and – besides London – one of two first ones in the network of Polish cultural diplomacy posts – celebrates its 75 anniversary. On this occasion, the inhabitants of Hungary’s capital are invited to a series of jubilee events.

The Copernicus Center invites you to a benefit concert by popular Polish band Ich Troje on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 8.00 p.m. with opening band Wishing Well.
