All-Poland Satirical Contest “Manufaktura Satyry” is being organised for the 5th time by Żyrardów Town hall. This year’s topic is: “Technology and inventions”. You can send your works until 20th June 2014.
The contest is held under Link to Poland media patronage.

“Art vs. Vandalism” sounded the motto of the third Street Art Festival “Urban Creatures”, which took place in Sofia (www.urbancreatures.org). With the invitation of the Polish Institute in Sofia , the festival took part with two street artists: a band ETAM CRU.

Sixty-five sculptures and drawings by Alina Szapocznikow, one of the most original 20th century Polish artists, are on display in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The exhibition Body Traces will run through May. It was organised together by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.

Although the unfavourable weather did not encourage venturing outdoors, the citizens of Żyrardów once again did not disappoint expectations, coming to “Resursa” Gallery. And the occasion was special. At Saturday’s evening, 7 th December 2013, was the vernissage of one of the most eminent creators of Polish book and press illustrations – Professor Janusz Stanny.

Who is the best young contemporary Polish artist? On the 24th of October 2013 the winner of “Views 2013 – Deutsche Bank Foundation Award” will be announced during the ceremony at Zachęta – The National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. In 10 years of its existence, the competition became a real barometer for the Polish art scene.
