The seminars will take place on Saturday, 11th October 2014, at 4pm-6pm and on Friday 21st November 2014, at 2 pm – 4 pm in Gresham Metropole Hotel.

In the heart of the eternal city, volunteers and staff of the Polish Embassy in Rome were offering Polish apples to passers-by. Success of the campaign surpassed expectations. To Romans and tourists have been distributed approx. 6,000 apples.

Over a tonne of apples and one and a half thousand bottles of apple juice have been passed around at the finish line of the 11th Vilnius Marathon on the initiative of the Polish Embassy and the Polish Institute in Vilnius. The athletes and sports fans were handed fruit from Poland as part of the #EatPolishApples campaign.

There are millions of Poles living abroad for various reasons. In almost every single corner of the world we can find our fellow citizens. The series called “Poles abroad” presents the profiles of those of them who have found their home in the foreign country, stay there temporarily, travel there for business purpose, or just like to return to one particular place for vacation.Today we present the story of Przemysław Zaręba.

The end of August and beginning of September is a time when large numbers of holidaymakers return home. Thousands of people pass through airports and train stations, both travellers and those waiting for their loved ones. But we should also remember about those who are waiting for their loved ones much longer… It is with them in mind that ITAKA foundation and Warsaw Chopin Airport have launched a joint outreach campaign to increase awareness and help in the search for missing persons.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. It will be accompanied by number of events organised between 25th July and 9th August in Warsaw. These will include outdoor concerts, the Warsaw Uprising race, exhibitions, a special performance and a unique cycling event called “Masa Powstańcza”. Polish people living abroad do not forget about the insurgents either – an enormous mural commemorating the Warsaw Uprising is being painted in New York.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and India commemorated in 2014, Polish and Indian think-tanks and academic centres have published two interesting books in English devoted to Polish-Indian relations. Their promotion took place in New Delhi at the end of June.
