Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced a new route from Katowice to Liverpool. The route will commence on 29 March.

From 4 July to 28 August 2016, Air France will serve Krakow (Poland) from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. After Warsaw, Krakow is the second destination served by Air France in Poland.
The development of the connection grid from Chopin Airport looks very attractive in 2016. 25 new routes have already been announced, and several more are waiting for the announcement. Carriers will also increase their offer on at least 11 existing routes.
After a seven-year break, Spanish national airline Iberia returns to Kraków.
The investment works in the operational area at the Kraków Airport have been completed. They involved developing the airport apron and reconstructing the taxiways. The total space of renovated and constructed areas covers around 20 hectares, including the concrete surface of 15 hectares. Nearly 90% of all the works have been completed within the project co-financed from the EU Cohesion Fund (the Kraków Airport – Existing Infrastructure Development Project).
LOT Polish Airlines has announced the launch of new routes from its hub in Warsaw. Since the beginning of the summer season LOT aircraft will fly to Kosice, Palanga and Kharkov. Tickets for these routes are already available on lot.com.
Chopin Airport ranked among the TOP10 best airports in Europe in the competition organised by the Sleeping in Airports portal. It is a second such award for the Warsaw Airport.
Hungarian low-cost Wizzair has carried 100 million passengers since the beginning of the airline. The jubilee passenger was handled at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
This winter passengers from Krakow will have at their disposal more long-haul flights. So far the most popular destinations for them have been Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Edinburgh, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei. It is going to change soon. The upcoming KLM winter schedule, starting 25 October, will bring more convenient long-haul connections especially to the United States and Canada.
