Hot topics these days – the Winter Olympic Games, the dynamic growth of the Polish economy, whether Poles are successful in the production of exclusive spirits. “We only have Justyna Kowalczyk”, “The market is booming, and we continue to earn peanuts” – the Poles complain; and the national whinging is accompanied by the characters of the second part of the Poland. Come and complain. campaign.

Following the professional whingers – a cultural expert, taxi driver and computer geek, which in July of last year became known throughout the whole world, the time has come to meet more characters. A waitress, a businesswoman and, finally, the Biały Miś (White Bear) from Krupówki in Zakopane, with flair worthy of true Polish malcontents, complain about the amount of Polish alcohol consumed (too little!), athletic ability (too weak!) and the development of the Polish economy (too slow!).

But the Poland. Come and complain. campaign is primarily constructive complaining, because it is a non-standard manner of promoting Poland abroad. It is not without reason that the voiceovers take the offensive and, based on irrefutable evidence, try to persuade the stars of the clips that Poland is in many respects one of the most attractive destinations in Europe, and the Poles are perceived by foreigners as an above-average nation.

The crux of the Poland. Come and complain. campaign, in addition to being prepared for the film clips, which will appear on the network in three-week intervals, is also to be a fanpage entirely devoted to being a Pole: from the achievements of Polish scientists, ending with typical Polish traditions and customs.

Jan Mosiejczuk and Tomasz Chojnacki from Blacklama came up with the idea. The clips were directed by Natalia Jakubowska and Łukasz Gronowski. Production of the clips was undertaken by Papaya Films in Warsaw, with the interactive agency Bird&Co being responsible for social media communication.

We invite you to complain using the special hashtag #comeandcomplain, preferably in the campaign’s virtual complaints and grievances book at:  Come and complain.
