On Monday, 20 June, the Iberia Express airlines started a direct connection from Kraków to Madrid. Flights are scheduled twice a week. On Mondays and Saturdays it will be the earliest flight from Kraków Airport. The route is operated with Airbus A320/A321.

Iberia Express is a member of IAG (International Airlines Group) and one of the world’s largest airline alliances – oneworld. Iberia Express connections are fully integrated with Iberia’s flight schedule (a hybrid model). This enables passengers to discover Spain, as well as South, Latin and North America.

In 2015, over 200,000 visitors to Kraków were Spaniards. Spain is among ten most popular countries chosen by the passengers flying from Kraków Airport. Last year, over 60,000 passengers travelled between Kraków and Madrid by air.
