Ryanair has announced in Lviv a new connection between that city and Kraków to begin operation as of the 2017/2018 winter season. Flights from Kraków to Lviv will be scheduled three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) starting from 31 October 2017.

The connection with Lviv is an option for a fast and convenient journey for Polish people living in the Lviv Region, and for a sizeable population of the Ukrainian diaspora from southern Poland. Over one hundred connections from Kraków offered by 19 carriers will help Ukrainian passengers to plan for their onward journeys to other destinations.

The Daniel Halicki International Airport in Lviv is the largest airport in western Ukraine, located 6 km away from the city centre. The airport is served by buses and a trolleybus line, and the travel time to the city centre is 25 and 15 minutes respectively.
