The first LOT’s flight from Kraków to Budapest will take off on 28 April. Until the end of the summer season, which is 27 October, six flights will be available to passengers: everyday, except for Thursdays. LOT will offer passengers at least 78 seats in three classes on each connection. The plane will depart from Kraków Airport at 7:55 AM and arrive in Hungary’s capital at 9:00 AM. Flights from Budapest to Kraków will depart at 9:35 AM.

The connection will allow passengers from southern Poland to conveniently switch flights in Budapest, and continue on one of the new long-distance flights to the United States offered by LOT. Starting from 3 May, the Polish carrier will offer regular flights from Budapest to New York, and to Chicago, starting from 5 May. LOT will fly to New York JFK from Budapest four times per week and to Chicago O’Hare two times per week.

The launch of the new connection to Budapest is not the only good news for passengers using Kraków Airport. From the beginning of July LOT will increase the frequency of direct flights between Kraków and Chicago, up to two flights per week. Currently, the carrier offers one direct flight per week on that route. New flights will be introduced on 5 July. The plane will depart from Chicago on Thursdays at 5:25 PM and arrive at 9:25 AM the following day. On Fridays, flights will depart at 12:40 PM and arrive at 3:40 PM local time. The estimated flight time is 9 hours.

The new connection between Kraków and Budapest, new flights between Kraków and Chicago and long-distance flights between Budapest and Chicago are coordinated both in Kraków and Budapest. Passengers will be able to fly between Kraków and Budapest and Chicago four times a week, since the air operations take place on different days of the week. On other days LOT offers convenient connections to/from Chicago with stopover in Warsaw.
