The finalists for each category – business, science and technology, culture, the young successful Pole and Honorary Polonus – will be selected by the Chapter, which consists of representatives of the Polish community and is led by Barbara Borys-Damięcka – Senator of the Republic of Poland. Simultaneously, Internet users will be able to vote online, helping to decide which of the candidates will receive the audience’s award.
The third edition of the elections for Pole of the Year in the Netherlands is another excellent opportunity to show the achievements of Poles living and working in this country; the Poles who can be an example to follow.
The Pole of the Year elections demonstrate the opportunities which can seem unattainable for many people. They are also an attempt to integrate Polish people, to create a group of distinguished representatives, successful people and, finally, to build a positive image of Poles in the Netherlands.
This year’s award ceremony will be held on 15th November at 6pm at Studio 21 in Hilversum.
A spectacular entertainment programme and a concert of Polish artists – Mr Polska, Natalii Szroeder i Piotra Jasiurkowskiego – will add splendour to the ceremony.
