With this conviction, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Milan places at your disposal the website tab Polonika that should be considered as an evolving and changing  project with constant updates. It is intended to collect evidence of Polish presence in northern Italy over the centuries until the present.  Such an approach, concerning evidence of the richness of Polish-Italian connections, is beyond the capabilities of the website’s editors. That is why the Consulate together with the portal Link to Poland appeals to you to participate in this project. We are requesting that you send and share any possible information about Poles who lived in the northern part of Italy over the centuries.  Please share with us documents, photos, memories or findings from archives, libraries or even from attics of your own homes. We invite the Polish community to take part in this project as well as anyone who is interested in this subject. In such a way we wish to get to know the history of the Polish Diaspora in northern Italy and disseminate it; especially regarding Poles currently living here so that in their past they will be motivated to foster their own origins and pass this heritage to future generations.
