Airlines at Kraków Airport

In the summer season, 19 airlines will offer flights to Kraków: Aegean, Air Berlin, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, easyJet, Eurowings, Finnair, Iberia, Jet2.com, KLM, Lufthansa, Norwegian, PLL LOT, Ryanair, SWISS International Air Lines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Vueling and a new airline – El-Al.

New flights in the summer season

This summer season, after seven years of absence, Kraków Airport relaunches a long-awaited direct transatlantic connection. Flights to the United States (Chicago) will be handled by Dreamliners, which are quieter and more state-of-the-art than  Boeing 767 that used to fly on that route. The first flight to one of the largest cities in the United States will depart on July 3rd, 2017 and will be operated by PLL LOT.
Flights to the Middle East – to Israel (Tel Aviv) will be launched by a new airline at Kraków Airport, namely Israeli El-Al. So far, flights to Israel (Ovda) have been offered by Ryanair only in the winter season.
The first new connection launched in the 2017 summer season will be a flight to Stockholm (Arlanda airport), operated by SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Another destination introduced in March is Düsseldorf, an international business centre, operated by Eurowings. Most of the new destinations will be launched by Ryanair. The aircraft of this Irish airline are scheduled to fly to Italy (Pescara, Venice, Lamezia), France (Lourdes) and Portugal (Porto) as early as this March. In April, in turn, the carrier will launch a summer destination to Greece (Chania, Crete), and one month later – to Spain (Valencia). Overall, Kraków Airport’s summer offer contains 11 new destinations.
The 2017 summer schedule will also include all new connections that were introduced in the winter season, i.e. easyJet connections to: Switzerland (Geneva), the United Kingdom (Manchester) and Italy (Naples and Venice), as well as Ryanair’s connections to the United Kingdom (Bournemouth, Belfast).

The return of seasonal flights and increased frequency

Compared to the previous summer season, this year the number of connections has increased by 13. The summer season also marks a return of seasonal flights, i.e. Eurowings – Stuttgart, Iberia Express – Madrid, Vueling – Barcelona, Aegean – Athens, Ryanair – Paphos, Majorca, Pisa, Trapani. The two latter destinations will also remain in the offer during the 2017/2018 winter season. It should also be noted that Air Berlin has increased the number of its daily flights between Kraków and Berlin in the summer season from three to four.
