Between the 20th and 28th of April the 31st edition of the Musica Polonica Nova Festival will take place in Wrocław. One of the ideas of the new Art Director, Paweł Hendrich, is for every edition to focus on the works of one composer. The first artist invited as the composer-in-residence of the festival is Marcin Stańczyk.

Have you ever thought about spending the summer holidays in Poland? You should, not only can you discover the most beautiful views in Europe, but also, after hours of hiking, you can also have a great time at one of the many festivals.

Every year, on one of the spring weekends, pedestrians crossing the Tower Bridge towards the South bank witness a remarkable sight: the usual greenery of Potters Fields Park suddenly blooms with myriad colours, as thousands of Poles gather there to participate in the Days of Poland Festival – the UK’s biggest event promoting Polish culture. This season will be no different: the fourth edition is set to take place on Sunday, 30 April on the usual site and with the very same idea – to come together for a true Polish Majówka!

The 2nd PolskaÉire Festival will take place all over the island of Ireland from May 16-22, featuring over 70 events across Ireland including Arklow, Balbriggan, Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Ennis, Galway, Gorey, Kilkenny, Limerick, Swords, and Wexford. This year three cities from Poland will also take part in the Festival: Gdynia, Kielce and Rzeszów.

The PolskaÉire Festival 2016 in Ennis is held under Link to Poland’s media patronage.

It has taken me some time and distance away from my constantly ringing phone and hundreds of daily emails to reflect. I actually don’t yet feel its time to reflect, as it feels like I am still on the PolArt Honeymoon.
