Akademia Języka Polskiego (Academy of Polish Language) – the oldest Polish language school in Gdańsk, invite all children and teenagers (7-18 y.o.) to the Summer camp with Polish language course. The summer camp is organized in two locations Chmielno and Łapino near Gdańsk.

This year in April the first European Startup Weekend Space (SWS) was organized. The event took place in Bremen, one of the centers of the German space industry. Participants arrived from over 20 European countries, as well as the US, India or Egypt. Poland was represented by three participants and two mentors. The Museum of the Second World War was formed on 26 November 2008. Gdańsk, the city where the war broke out, was selected to be the seat of the institution. The Museum’s future home is being built at Wałowa Street near the centre of the city. Its opening is being planned for 2016.

On August 21 2013, the first Triple-E series ship, which can be loaded with 18 000 containers has come to Deepwater Terminal DCT in Gdańsk. This is the longest ship in the world. Its length reach 400 meters.
