It is here, in Gdańsk, a movement was born under the charismatic leadership of Lech Walesa which led to the fall of communism in Europe.

Lech Wałęsa, former Polish president, and co-founder of Solidarity, whom is well known all over the world, became 70 years old in September earlier this year. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of receiving The Peace Nobel Prize he invited several people, including Dalai Lama, to participate in the 13th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Poland. In a discussion with Mariusz Soltanifar, he claimed that “Europe needs a president”.
