“The world is a fabric we weave daily on the great looms of information, discussions, films, books, gossip, little anecdotes. Today the purview of these looms is enormous—thanks to the internet, almost everyone can take place in the process, taking responsibility and not, lovingly and hatefully, for better and for worse. When this story changes, so does the world. In this sense, the world is made of words.” – Nobel Lecture: Olga Tokarczuk, Nobel Prize in Literature 2018

The commemoration of the 50th death anniversary of the Nobel prize nominee, distinguished Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz (1904-1969) will be held from 18th to 27th of November in Ankara.

The event is held under Link to Poland’s media patronage.

History does not have to and should not be boring. Our Polish history is simply fascinating. The Nowoczesna Polska Foundation has selected seven works of Polish literature which will serve as an example of what is important and remains unchanged. Within the “Listen Everywhere” Project there have been several podcasts recorded. They will tell you about the connections between history and literature.

The project is held under Link to Poland’s media patronage.
