Radio Islanders is an Internet radio station with professional standards and equipment, run by volunteers. The aim is to provide high-quality content in a truly popular way—this is radio broadcasting by ordinary people, about ordinary people, and for ordinary people. We broadcast what we ourselves would like to hear, and what we wish was available now. It is entertaining, informative, useful and, we hope, could encourage mutual understanding and appreciation.
The station is dual language—Polish–English—and multicultural. There are advice on living in East Anglia and the UK more generally, including practical information regarding health, education, employment and law, together with features about the history, traditions and culture of the British Isles. We will also introduce and explain Poland and its people to a wider audience. As part of this cultural exchange, we plan on-air discussions of the similarities and differences between peoples and cultures worldwide, as well as international ar our , concerts and festivals.
So far our broadcast are recorded as playllists, but in the future we would like to broadcast live 24/7 in DAB system.
