This year is the third time we invite you to participate in the “Outstanding Pole Abroad’’ which aims to create a positive image of Poland by award and promotion of Poles living in the USA who achieved success here in the following categories: Business, Personality, Science, Young Pole and Culture.
The competition is organized by the Foundation for Polish Emblem Promotional which is known from awarding the best Polish products and services with a prestigious emblem “Teraz Polska’’. In the USA, Pangea Alliance is responsible for the organization and coordination of the “Outstanding Pole’’. In the conduct of the competition got involved also The Polish Consulate in Chicago and New York which conduct in parallel each edition. Nominations may be sent from all 50 of the United States.
The winners of the previous editions were, among others: Grażyna Auguścik, Maria Siemionow, Agnieszka Wójtowicz- Vosloo, Janusz Kapusta, Piotr Sikora, Michał Siwiec (2011), Magdalena Baczewska, Piotr Chomczyński, Ryszard Horowitz, Jerzy Kenar, Mariusz Kołodziej, Maciej Leśniak, Sławomir Marecik, Marek Rudnicki, Janusz Szlechta and Wacław Szybalski (2012).
The competition is divided into national stage (regional) and global. Our task, as the Organizing Committee is to coordinate activities at the national stage. First, we will try to obtain possible the most numerous group of candidates for the prize and then, among all of the applications we will try to choose the persons that deserve the most to title them “Outstanding Pole”.
We hope that, as in the previous year, so this year in the competition will participate such personalities whose activity is related to consolidating the positive image of Poland and Polish people in the USA.
