From March 2nd LOT aircraft also flies to Zielona Góra. Lovers of Italian cuisine will be interested in the of Lamezia Terme in Calabria connection, which will be launched on July 2nd, by the Hungarian carrier Wizz Air.
As many as 9 out of 11 new routes will be all year round connections. The remaining two – to Podgorica and Pula – will be only summer ones.
– The new connection confirms our ability and our potential. This is a proof that the largest airport in Poland is growing rapidly – says Mariusz Szpikowski, General Director of “Polish Airports” State Enterprise, managing Warsaw Chopin Airport – We will continue to build the position of Chopin Airport as a hub for passengers from abroad especially from neighboring countries.
In 2017 34 regular carriers will use the services of Chopin Airport and will offer connections to 120 routes in the summer and winter seasons. At least 15 charter carriers will operate on more than 70 routes. It is also estimated that in 2017 Chopin Airport will handle up to 14 million passengers, which will be another record in the history of the largest airport in Poland.
