The Folkowisko Assotiation, Polish Irish Assotiation with cooperation of the FAI, Clare County Concile, Clare Immigrant Support Centre and Active Ennis invate you to take part in PolskaÉire in Ennis, as a part of the PolskaÉire Festival 2016. It is an intercultural event that would like to involve all international minorities and will take place from 19th of May till the 22nd.
It’s a four day long festival starting on 19th May with a Movie Show of widely known and recognized classic “Miś” (directed by Stanisław Bareja), with English subtitles and an official launch in the Clare Liberary from 6.30 pm.
On Friday, 20th May from 7 pm in the Waterhouse, during our PolskaÉire Folk Festival some breath-taking, heart-warming story telling, history, customs, beautiful dancing. Also food tasting, a fantastic concert to finish the night and special guest Eddy Lenihan!
For sport lovers, during Saturday Active Day at the Fair Green, action jammed afternoon (1-5pm) will provide an opportunity to experience classes such as Yoga, Bokwa, Brazillian jujitsu, Tai Chi ect and other sport disciplines like soccer, volleyball and also dancing. Be prepared for some music, a picnic, a dog show and numerous attractions for children and families.
On Sunday we would like take time to relax and invite you for a tour around our beautiful County Clare. Our bus will be ready to collect you by the Temple Gate hotel at 9.30 and will return at around 1pm (booking essential). Make sure to be there so we can meet, learn from each other, understand and experience our wonderful differences.
PolskaÉire Festival is an annual nationwide celebration of Irish-Polish friendship, co-organised by approximately 30 different partners in Poland and Ireland, under the auspices of the Department of Justice and the Polish Embassy in Dublin. The aim of the festival is to further strengthen mutual relations between Polish and Irish communities by means of various cultural, sports, business, academic and community events.
