March 2016 was the best March in the history of the airport, by 4.7 percent better than March ‘15. It is worth mentioning that this is the eleventh consecutive month of record in the history of Chopin Airport and eighteenth month of continuous growth in passenger numbers.
Despite the increase in the number of passengers, the number of aircraft movements remained virtually unchanged. Both the year before, and now it amounted to 11.7 thousand.
Since the beginning of the year Chopin Airport has handled 2.3 million passengers (up 7.1 percent), of which 2 million in international traffic (up 7.3 percent) and 260 thousand in domestic traffic (up by 5.6 percent).
