Students of Tokyo universities, university teachers, journalists and historians have attended a symposium devoted to Jan Karski and the Holocaust. The event was held by the Polish Institute in Tokyo under the auspices of the Polish Embassy in Japan’s capital.

An exhibition titled “For Example. The New Polish Home” can be watched as part of Prague’s Architecture Week, one of the most important international festivals dedicated to architecture and urbanism in Europe. The Polish Institute in Prague is the event’s partner.
A ceremony commemorating Polish soldiers who had died in Belgium during the Second World War took place at a cemetery in Lommel on 28 September 2014. The event was part of celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Flanders.
The third LET´S CEE film festival will take place in Vienna from October 2nd until October 11th, 2014. During this time it will present around ninety excellent productions from Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Caucasus and Turkey – all of them in the respective original language with German or English subtitles, and most of them as Austrian premieres. No less than thirty-one of these films will be competing in one of the three competitions – the feature film, short film and documentary competition.
In the heart of the eternal city, volunteers and staff of the Polish Embassy in Rome were offering Polish apples to passers-by. Success of the campaign surpassed expectations. To Romans and tourists have been distributed approx. 6,000 apples.

On Wednesday, September 24, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York during the meeting of the Polish President and First Lady with the representatives of the Polish community was given a high state awards.
