Strong Polish accent in the works of Telemann and the music of Zelenka and Bach will sound in The Hague on Thursday, February 27th during a concert of Nova Silesia. Nova Silesia was founded in 2006 at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. The ensemble performs Central European baroque music, especially from Poland and the Habsburg Monarchy. Their repertoire includes previously unpublished pieces from the Easter European music collections as well as the masterpieces by Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and Telemann.The members from Nova Silesia come from all over the world. Individually, they are working with other early music ensembles such as the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Les Arts Florissants. Together they perform concerts ranging from chamber music to large vocal-instrumental cantatas.
