Kapela Banachy is a musical family from the Dutch town of Heerlen. In love with the folklore of their homeland, they draw from it in a very special way in numerous traditional songs from southern Poland (Babia Góra, Beskid Żywiecki, Podhale, etc.). On the 25th of June 2013 Małgorzata and Eugenius Banach have been awarded with the Golden Cross of Merit.
Someone who comes from Poland told me today that whenever he is asked where he comes from, he answers from Eastern Europe, because he is ashamed to tell the truth.
Visually changed, even more radical, captivating for young fans, too—in a word, cool. That’s this year’s Jewish Culture Festival in Cracow, from June 28 to August 7, 2013.
Today 12. International Festival of Photography in Łódź is starting. It will present the works by Sebastião Salgado, Paolo Pellegrin, Gregory Crewdson, Annie Leibovitz, Nadav Kander, Nan Goldin, Steve McCurry and Gilles Peress.
