XTPL, the originator of the breakthrough technology for manufacturing ultrathin electrically conductive lines, has qualified for the prestigious acceleration program MIT Enterprise Forum Poland, affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Currently, the company officials are involved in a series of workshops and and compete to take part in the grand final, which will take place in June 2016 in Boston.

Extended formula, mentoring workshops and the induction to a world robotic league are differentiations of the third edition of the European Rover Challenge. The event, which is the largest space – robotics event in Europe, will be held from 10-13th September 2016 in the Exhibition and Congress Centre in Jasionka (Podkarpackie Voivodeship).

Filip Granek and Zbigniew Rozynek, young physicists with many years of international experience in research, are developing a breakthrough technology to produce ultra-thin, electrically conductive lines. The technology benefit the manufacturers of LCD displays, thin-film solar cells and touchscreens. The technological concept has already been successfully validated, and the patent procedure initiated. Valuation of the company XTPL, which is involved in the commercialization of the invention, may reach a capitalization of a billion dollars in the future.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Polish Government-in-Exile’s relocation to London and the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of its activities, the Polish Embassy in London has initiated a promotional and educational campaign under the title “Republic in Exile / Rzeczpospolita Londyńska”.

On 19th October the University of Warsaw opens the European Centre for Geological Education (ECEG) in Chęciny in the Holy Cross Mountains.

The centre is located in the area of the oldest rocks, counting over 500 milion years. Chęciny lies on the border between two very important geological units of the Holy Cross Mountains: the Palaeozoic Core and the Permian-Mezozoic Margin.
