PolishUpdate is a Polish modern portal for Polish dispora.
Since its creation in February 2012, the portal has become one of the most favorite websites of Poles living in America. We write in Polish about American issues from the point of view of young Americans with Polish roots and immigrants for whom United States has become a second home. We do not ignore important matters regarding, among others, the immigration law reform, tax system, or the situation in the health service.
At the spate of information and facts in the media, we focus on how current events influence a person’s life. PolishUpdate is not pushing anyone towards any ideology. The starting point is always common sense. Over the past year, the portal was the patron of the conference of young leaders and professionals of Quo Vadis and has also been noticed and honored in the resolution of the Chicago City Council on the occasion of Polish Heritage Month.
Among the many important events of the previous months we attended: World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, NATO Summit, election of President Barack Obama, and visits of American presidents in Chicago. The advantage of the portal is publishing pictures of the Polish and American cultural events and original recipes.
