The most intuitive of addresses and very easy to look up in a search service, they will make it easier for internet users to get to know Poland and search for interesting information about our country,” explains Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a few months, internet users will see a new official portal that will promote Poland at Polska.pl, which NASK, the owner of the two domains, handed over for the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s use on 28 May. The new address will replace the current one, at Polska.gov.pl and Poland.gov.pl. The new internet service, also available at Poland.pl, will serve promotional purposes.

It won’t be over-bloated with content, and one of its important features will be attractive graphics. We want it to portray our country, in line with the ‘Rules for communicating the POLSKA brand,’ as an interesting place, where people have remarkable ideas and where you can invest in high-tech projects,” adds Deputy Minister Kacperczyk.

The new Polska.pl portal is another in a series of steps to upgrade the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s websites. “Having launched in autumn 2012 over 340 new websites, in 45 language versions, of Polish embassies, consulates and permanent representations around the world, we’re now presenting Poland’s new promotional website. The current look of the portal had not been revived since 2009 and needed redesigning,” explains the deputy minister.

The revamped portal will be available at two addresses: Polska.pl and Poland.pl, but it is important for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the former should be promoted and it will be the basic one. The site in the Polish and English language versions will be launched in 2014. It is already being developed by the Press Office’s Internet Portals Section.
