The TIFF Kids accompanies the famous Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), recognized as the most important film event on the North-American continent.

Its audience will be able to see “Gabriel” directed by Mikołaj Haremski and “Goose Trouble” directed by Monika Dovnar. The Consulate General of Poland in Toronto is a partner of the festival and supports the organization Polish presentations, which will take place in a new festival complex built in 2010 – the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

“The TIFF Kids is one of the largest and the most prestigious film festivals for children, during which viewers can watch the latest productions from around the world: feature films, short narratives and colourful animations,” says Vanessa Barry, the TIFF’s coordinator for corporate affairs. The festival programme also includes film games and interactive workshops.

This year, 112 films from 31 countries, including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, China, Russia and Poland, are taking part in the festival. After the planned shows, there will be meetings with famous directors and film producers such as: Carlos Saldanha, Sergio Mendes or Ben Stassen.

The TIFF, organized since 1976, presents the latest trends in the world cinema, and the international thematic festivals accompanying the TIFF year-round, such as the TIFF Kids or retrospectives dedicated to the most outstanding directors of the world cinema, are widely reported in the media and attract crowds of film lovers from many countries to Canadian.
