Over the next days, Poland’s Pavilion will become the arena of presenting the Polish cultural, active and nature tourism. The partners of the Polish Tourist Organisation include Polish regions and cities which see their participation in EXPO 2015 as an opportunity to present their tourism offer to foreign customers.
The Capital City Of Warsaw will present the cultural offer symbolised by Fryderyk Chopin; therefore, multimedia benches, transferring the passers-by to the world of the Polish composer’s works, will be placed in the street of Milan next week. An almost 4-metre long boat will be placed in Piazza Pagano in Milan – its aim is to present, also using the 3D mapping, the attractiveness of nature in Warsaw, in particular of the Vistula river which is the last big unregulated river in the European Union.
Lajkonik, who may be found in the coming days in Poland’s Pavilion, will encourage tourists to visit Kraków and the Małopolska region. The “Małopolska Camper”, adorned with red beads – the symbol of Małopolska, will serve as a mobile tourist information point to promote the region. The World Youth Day, which will take place in Kraków in 2016, will also be presented at EXPO 2015.
Wrocław and the Lower Silesia will present a vast cultural offer, encouraging to participate in the events organised within the framework of the European Capital of Culture in 2016. The visitors to Poland’s Pavilion will be invited to discover the beauty of the Palaces and Gardens of Jelenia Góra Valley and the Cistercian Track. Lublin and the Lubelskie Voivodeship will encourage guests to visit the region during the international new circus and theatre festival Carnaval Sztuk-Mistrzów.
The presentation of the Podlaskie Voivodeship focuses on promotion of bicycle tourism and natural attractions of the region, including the Podlaskie White Stork Trail. The region wants to build its image also based on arts – Fair Play Crew, a dance group from the Podlasie region, will perform on the stage in front of Poland’s Pavilion.
An interesting element of the exhibition will be a presentation of the longest biking route in Poland that is over 2,000 km long: Greenvelo. The route runs through five regions of Eastern Poland. Thanks to a 5D capsule, visitors will have an opportunity to admire the route in Poland’s Pavilion next week. Northern Poland will be presented thanks to the Association of Coastal Towns and Gminas: amber is the symbol of the region’s tourism appeal; it will appear in artistic arrangements as part of hostesses’ attire.
