Poland has a potential to become a leader of innovation of the Visegrad Group (V4) – this is the main conclusion of the report “Emerging Innovation Leader of the Visegrad Group”, prepared by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The report describes two Polish cities – Warsaw and Kraków as the most innovative centres in the V4 region, due to the impressive number of scientists and engineers who work there.

Ryanair, Poland’s no 1 airline, yesterday (18 September) launched its Warsaw summer 2015 schedule with 7 new routes to Athens, Fuerteventura, Glasgow, Gran Canaria, Lisbon, Madrid and Tenerife, as well as increased frequencies on 10 other routes, which will deliver 2.5m customers and support 2,500* “on-site” jobs at Warsaw Airport.

Spectacular car chases along the streets of Warsaw, a jump from the Palace of Culture and Science or a helicopter exploding over the Vistula river are only some of the scenes featuring in Kick, a Bollywood blockbuster which was produced in the capital city of Poland and is about to hit the screens around the world.

Warsaw will be hosting the Street Art Festival for the 22nd time. Artists will be our guests in the streets of the capital city on June 27-29 and July 4-6. Street Art will traditionally visit Rynek Nowego Miasta and Agrykola Park with pantomime and comedy shows, religious theatres, wandering theatre companies, drama workshops and avant garde fashion shows.

airberlin operates the service on its new route to Chicago on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A330-200. Starting 1st May, Germany’s second largest airline will also fly every Wednesday and Sunday, thus increasing the number of weekly flights from three to five.
