On behalf of the Organizers, we cordially invite you to Poland Day, an annual networking event aimed at enhancing business cooperation between Polish and U.S.-based technology companies in Silicon Valley.

The event will take place in the famous Crown Room at the historic Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill in San Francisco, on March 25, 2013. Poland Day is organized by the US-Polish Trade Council.

As always, the program for this year’s Poland Day will reflect the most current trends and opportunities. Our opening session will be devoted to ideas and new technologies associated with the computer game industry. We will close with a financial session focusing on investment in start-ups.

Poland is one of the most promising and growing computer games industry partners in the world. Polish developers are at the forefront of numerous international competitions and contests. They are among the world’s best, showing extraordinary creativity and technological skills. Polish producers of virtual games have also been extremely successful on the global market. Domestically, the number of users and purchasers of electronic games is growing rapidly, attracting the attention of numerous foreign investors.

Indeed, young Polish companies using innovative technologies are becoming increasingly prominent across all industries. For them, the main challenge remains funding the initial phase of development. Meanwhile, more mature Polish companies with an established position in the Polish and European markets are taking the next step—going global. More often than not, their first destination is Silicon Valley, where immersion in the innovative, collaborative, and fiercely competitive cradle of start-up culture can open the door to a global market.

Discussion of these themes at Poland Day 2013 will bring together private investors, venture funds, and representatives of governmental and nongovernmental organizations supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Poland and the United States. Polish firms seeking business opportunities in Silicon Valley will be present, as well.

This year’s Poland Day will be held in conjunction with a major international conference, the 2013 Global Technology Symposium. Now in its tenth year, GTS continues to provide a critical forum for discussion and networking between leaders in global business, innovative technology, and finance. Poland Day provides an opportunity for an in-depth focus on Poland within the GTS context. We are pleased to note that 2013 Game Developers Conference, the most famous worldwide networking event for professional manufacturers of computer games, will also be taking place in the Bay Area the week of March 25th, offering conference participants the opportunity to participate in those three attendance-most worthy events.

We sincerely hope you will join us!
