The Polish government has made excellent use of becoming the biggest beneficiary of EU funds – receiving more than 82 billion EUR in EU Cohesion Policy funding, averaging 8,500 EUR per capita – to become a competitive player among the 28 EU member countries.

Poland’s economy has been growing at an accelerated rate, averaging 4 per cent between 2004 and 2013, while the country leapt from 12th to 8th position among major exporters between 2004 and 2013, accruing a total value of 836 billion EUR in ten years.
