Jacek Majchrowski, President of the City of Krakow, when explaining the main idea behind the Congress, claimed that the cooperation between business, politics and science is the only way to ensure the development of smart cities. – These things are tightly interconnected. If we discuss the improvement of the quality of life of the citizens, we need to be aware that all those groups have to be involved in the process.
The European Congress of Local Governments is a meeting platform for more than a thousand participants. The programme will consist of 7 thematic tracks and more than 50 events: thematic blocks, panel discussions, workshops, lectures, presentations and a gala reception. Representatives of local governments, state administration, NGOs, cultural sector and academia from entire Europe will meet in Krakow for the second time.
