The forum, organised by the Polish Institute of International Affairs, focused on three issues: architecture of the regional security in Europe and Asia, situation in the EU after the European Parliament elections, and both countries’ relations with regional and global partners.
Deputy Minister Kacperczyk remarked that Poland and Australia share a similar approach to issues involving security, climate, economy as well as human rights and the promotion of democracy. The deputy chief of Poland’s diplomacy noted that Poland welcomes all initiatives to deepen the cooperation with Australia, including the opening of the Australian Business and Culture Centre in Poznan in December 2013.
“Australia remains one of Poland’s most important partners in the Asia and Pacific region. The current trade mission to Poland and events such as this conference are further steps in bringing our countries closer,” underlined the deputy minister.
