The US company, for which PAIiIZ has been provided services since January, will create three distribution centre. They will be located near Wrocław and Poznan. Each will employ 2,000 people and cover a huge area – around 95,000 m², that can be compared with 13 football fields.
The new Polish centres will be integrated into Amazon’s European network and will begin serving mainly the Amazon.de website and over time will serve customers from all of Amazon’s European websites. – Amazon’s decision confirms the investment attractiveness of Poland, – stressed Sławomir Majman, PAIiIZ president.
Amazon plans to open the first two centres in mid-2014. Initially, the company will employ 1,200 people. Recruitment begins this month.
