Omnivent Sp. z o.o., the Polish subsidiary of the agriculture supplier Omnivent from Zeewolde, has won the Dutch Polish Business Award 2014. The award ceremony was held on 10th December 2014 at the Cobra Museum for Modern Art in Amstelveen.

Canada and Poland have much in common, especially regarding the dynamic growth in trade and investments as well as academic cooperation. “The ministry of economy defined Canada as a top priority market”, argued PAIiIZ deputy president Monika Piątkowska during the Polish-Canadian Construction Forum that was held on 4 December in Toronto.

No longer than two decades ago, on the outskirts of Warsaw, in the town Józefów, a family-owned business Silverado specializing in mouth-blown Christmas glass ornaments was founded. Now, the majority of products of the company is exported abroad. Moreover, few year ago blown glass ornaments from Józefów decorated a Christmas tree in the US White House.

Meeting at a seminar devoted to energy sector innovations, Polish and American businesspeople and scientists have discussed the challenges, role of innovations, and implementation of state-of-the-art solutions in the energy sector. Held at Stanford University on 20 November, the debate was part of the Polish-American Innovation Week (PAIW) in California. Undersecretary of State Katarzyna Kacperczyk took part in the event.

“The fact that Polish apples have entered the Singaporean market is no doubt a success. Singapore imports 90 percent of its food, and is interested in diversifying its supplies; Polish apples can hold their own in the local market on account of their price and quality,” Poland’s Ambassador to Singapore, Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz, said after the first batch of Polish apples arrived in this Asian city state.

Between 27th and 29th November 2014 the 22nd edition of the International Travel Show will be held in Warsaw. It is the most important meeting place in Poland for the international and Polish tourism industry to establish business contacts. Characteristic traits of TT Warsaw are the possibility to meet both individual and business customers and to promote Poland on the international scene.
