On Sunday, May 6th, London will be overtaken by the Polish culture and tradition celebrations. It is when the fifth edition of the Lebara Days of Poland Festival will take place in one of the most recognisable places in the British capital, next to the Tower Bridge and the seat of the Mayor of London.

Between the 20th and 28th of April the 31st edition of the Musica Polonica Nova Festival will take place in Wrocław. One of the ideas of the new Art Director, Paweł Hendrich, is for every edition to focus on the works of one composer. The first artist invited as the composer-in-residence of the festival is Marcin Stańczyk.

On December 9 in Berlin the 2017 European Film Awards ceremony was held. Komunia (Communion) by Anna Zamecka and Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent) by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute were recognized by the European Film Academy as Best European Documentary and Best Animated Feature Film. Katarzyna Lewińska received the Award for European Costume Designer.
