Netia Off Camera invites you to its 10th birthday. Guests from all over the world, best films of the year, highest prizes in this part of Europe – Netia Off Camera has been promoting independent cinema for a decade, appreciating creators speaking their own language. The celebration of cinematic diversity take place in Krakow from 28th April to 7th May 2017.

4th edition of SerialCon will be held from 1st to 3rd of May, during the Netia Off Camera Film Festival. The event will be filled with discussions, panels, shows and even marathons 100% focused on TV productions. Guests of CANAL+ SerialCon, among them David J. Peterson, James Moran, Jacek Dehnel, Vincent Severski will share with us the secrets of a TV production process.

Every year, on one of the spring weekends, pedestrians crossing the Tower Bridge towards the South bank witness a remarkable sight: the usual greenery of Potters Fields Park suddenly blooms with myriad colours, as thousands of Poles gather there to participate in the Days of Poland Festival – the UK’s biggest event promoting Polish culture. This season will be no different: the fourth edition is set to take place on Sunday, 30 April on the usual site and with the very same idea – to come together for a true Polish Majówka!

History does not have to and should not be boring. Our Polish history is simply fascinating. The Nowoczesna Polska Foundation has selected seven works of Polish literature which serves as an example of what is important and remains unchanged. Within the “Listen Everywhere” Project there have been several podcasts recorded. They will tell you about the connections between history and literature.

Andrew Caulfield is from Swinton in Manchester. There is probably no others such a fan of Polish jazz artist and singer Anna Maria Jopek, as Andrew. Until now Andrew has attended 19 performances and is planning to follow Anna Maria Jopek during her next tour. We talk with Andrew about Poland, Polish image in the world and more importantly his passion for Anna Maria Jopek and her music.

Considering most notable of recent Polish cinema achievements – Oscar awarded ‘Ida’ by Paweł Pawlikowski or widely acclaimed ‘Body’ by Małgorzata Szumowska – one can assume that Polish cinematography has now a lot to offer. Play Poland Film Festival, opening on October 20 in Edinburgh, will definitely try to prove the point.
