The Sleeping in Airports portal’s users assessed the airports basing on four criteria: comfort, facilities for travellers, cleanliness and quality of service. Ranking is made according to the number of votes cast by individual travellers, from November 2014 to September 2015.

Warsaw Airport was appreciated by the passengers for friendly and helpful staff, excellent marking of the terminal and free and unlimited access to the Internet. Another plus is a huge amount of electrical sockets available for passengers, as well as 24/24h restaurants and bars and attractive playgrounds for children.

– After opening of the new part of the terminal, Chopin Airport definitely changed for the better. Free Wi-Fi, a wide selection of restaurants and bars, organic food – now at the airport there is everything you need while travelling – wrote in the survey one of the passengers. Others stressed good location of the airport close to the city centre, which can easily be reached by public transport.

Readers and authors of the report pointed out that with the increase in air traffic and the frequency of travels the quality of passenger services at the airports is getting better. – Airports in Europe are becoming more friendly for people, who – while waiting for a connecting flight – need to take a nap. The personnel treats it as normal and accepts it without objections – the authors wrote.

First place in the European category was awarded to Munich Airport, slightly ahead of Helsinki and Zurich. The top ten also includes airports in Porto, Tallinn, Amsterdam, Athens, Stockholm and Vienna. Changi Airport in Singapore was awarded first placed in the world category.

Warsaw Chopin Airport for the second time was in the forefront of the best airports in Europe. Previously it was distinguished in 2013.
