As the report shows, employees can expect salary increases in the first quarter of the next year. Over 35% of the surveyed companies admitted that they plan to increase salaries of their employees then. “It is good to be employee in the nearest future, because over one third of employers will get some benefits “, said Polish Infomation and Foreign Investment Agency president, Sławomir Majman during the presentation of the report.
According to the survey, not only salaries by also employment is growing in the country. 32% of companies plan to create new jobs at the turn of the year. It is a decrease of just 1 percentage point compared to the previous quarter, however at the same time an increase of 5 p.p. y/y and about 12 p.p. more than in 2013. From a regional perspective, the fastest growing of employment can be expected in Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie provinces (37%) as well as in such sectors as: logistics, transportation and storage (35% , each) and the industrial sector (33%).
The surveyed companies were also asked to evaluate their financial situation. It appears that they are in good or very good economic condition (67%), while bad or very bad financial position is reported by only 5% of businesses”. Companies are in better shape than a year ago, and employers have more arguments to negotiate their conditions”, summed up Majman.
