infoShare – the biggest tech conference in Central-Eastern Europe was held from 18th to 20th of May 2016 in Gdansk, Poland. One of the integral part of this event is the Startup Zone with the famous Startup Contest which attract the young companies from Europe. This year the 1st prize – 20 000 euro, founded by The Mayor of City of Gdańsk, won Polish startup – Nexbio. Reality Games (Poland) came to 2nd place and Deckard (Germany) was third. vBionic was voted by the jury the most creative Polish startup and it will represent Poland at global finals of Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen.
Nexbio is a biotechnological company that improves DNA-based methods and techniques for science and business. Thanks to their solution it’s easier and faster to discover microorganisms attacking plants and prevent that. It helps to make agriculture more ecological. The company has developed as a part of Innova-Invest project at Lublin Science and Technology Park.
– When we applied for infoShare Startup Contest we knew that our project was full of potential, but we felt that the competition will be strong. And we were right about that. We are going to use the award to develop our solution for agriculture – says Marcin Stachyra, Managing Director at Nexbio.
The award was accepted by: Marcin Stachyra (Nexbio Menaging Director), Adam Kuzdraliński (Chairman, Co-founder) and Michał Nowak (R&D Executive Assistant).
